Four months ago, we launched our Staff Shout Outs initiative. I’m proud to share that we’ve officially surpassed 4,000 shout outs!
Every compliment and thank you has brightened someone’s day. Thank you for embracing the positive and reminding our staff members and educators how important they are to you and your family. Let’s keep that positive momentum going next week during Teacher Appreciation Week.
If you can, take a moment to thank a teacher in your life. They work so hard to support and educate every child. I’m thankful for their dedication and passion, and I know you are too.
Next week, we’ll celebrate our Teacher of the Year nominees during a special ceremony. This year’s crop of nominees and finalists represent the best that this profession has to offer. They give so much of their time, love and heart to our students, families and schools. I’m grateful to serve our community alongside them.
Remember, we’ve made it easy for you to say thank you. You can visit our Staff Shout Outs webpage (neisd.net/shoutouts) to send a compliment to an educator or staff member. If you can’t find who you’re looking for at your campus, remember you can always select the ‘All NEISD Employees’ tab and search there.
Before I wrap up, I want to take a moment to remind you that tomorrow is Election Day. Five NEISD Board of Trustee positions will be on the ballot Saturday, May 4, along with other items. Visit the link on your screen (bexar.org/elections) to find your specific ballot before you head to the polls. On Election Day, voters may vote at any voting center within Bexar County from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Cada cumplido y agradecimiento le ha alegrado el día de alguien. Gracias por adoptar lo positivo y recordar a nuestros miembros del personal y educadores lo importantes que son para usted y su familia.
